Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Gloss.

Most clients see enhanced shine for about 4–6 weeks, depending on hair porosity, shampoo frequency, and styling. Gloss fades gradually, so regular maintenance or refreshing treatments every month or two keeps color and shine optimally vibrant.

Gloss treatments are semi-permanent and deposit tone without lifting natural pigment. They refresh or subtly shift shade but will not permanently change level. Results diminish over several weeks and can be adjusted, refreshed, or removed with color services.

Yes, gloss is formulated to be gentle and is commonly used on color-treated, highlighted, and chemically processed hair to enhance shine and tone. Your stylist will choose a compatible formula to avoid over-processing and ensure optimal results and hair health.

Appointments typically range from 30 to 60 minutes depending on hair length, thickness, and whether we include a consultation, blowout, or additional services. Your stylist will provide a more exact timeframe when booking.

Gloss can help blend and soften the appearance of gray hairs and neutralize unwanted warm tones, but it won't fully cover heavy grays. For full gray coverage, a permanent or demi-permanent color may be recommended alongside or instead of gloss.

Use sulfate-free shampoos, cool water, and color-safe products to prolong shine and color. Limit heat styling, use heat protectant when necessary, and schedule refresh treatments every 4–8 weeks depending on fading and hair needs.
