Get answers to common questions about Gel Toes.

When properly applied and cared for, Gel Toes last about three to six weeks. Longevity depends on activity, nail growth, and aftercare. We recommend regular moisturizing and avoiding harsh impact to maximize wear between salon visits.

We don't recommend applying regular polish over gel as it can affect adhesion and finish. To change color, we suggest professional removal and reapplication to prevent lifting, uneven texture, or premature chipping.

Yes — our technicians assess nail health before service and use gentle, non-damaging techniques. We can recommend hypoallergenic polishes and treatments; however, severe nail conditions should consult a dermatologist before receiving gel applications.

We advise against DIY removal. Professional removal prevents nail damage from improper scraping or excessive filing. Our salon safely soaks off gel and restores nail health, minimizing thinning and reducing risk of infection or trauma.

Gel cures fully in the salon, so most activities are safe immediately. However, we recommend waiting 24 hours before prolonged soaking to ensure maximum adhesion and to reduce early lifting or chipping.

Moisturize cuticles daily, wear protective footwear during rough activities, avoid harsh chemicals, and schedule regular touch-ups. Use recommended oil and lotion to maintain shine and prevent drying or premature polish lifting.
